Exercise
Movement is such a simple yet effective treatment for keeping us young, healthy, mentally charged and reducing physical pain.
Many people start to blame their age as unwanted changes and aches spread through their bodies. Whereas, evidence shows that this isn't main the factor, at least not till you reach mid 90's! You can improve your strength, power and muscle mass at any age. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying everyone should be able to run a marathon, but we all can progress our physical health, no matter what age we are.

If you're someone who has always been active, you should benefit from a stronger immune system as well as healthier metabolic, skeletal and cardiovascular systems.

We recommend you mix up your workouts, start with something that interests you, then challenge yourself. Whether this is classes at your local gym, cycling, running, swimming, yoga, tennis or even gardening.
Be careful not to burn out, you should quickly learn the difference between an injury and delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS), which is more of an ache.
If you're unsure or need some maintenance treatments, we recommend seeing one of our therapists that specialise in making you feel young and pain free - depending on your style try our Sports therapist or Osteopath to help prevent an injury.

If you take your exercise outdoors and/or with others you can also benefit your health further.

If you have pre-existing injuries or health conditions then the main thing to focus on is frequent movement throughout the day, Our bodies are designed to move and it's never too late to start working on our fitness.
